You may apply for the full-tuition AnBryce Scholarship when you are filling out your NYU Law application. Please sign the appropriate statement on the JD application and include a one-page essay (500-750 words) that describes how you have embodied the attributes of an AnBryce Scholar in overcoming personal obstacles, and how a legal education will enable you to promote the program’s ideals in your career. (AnBryce Scholars are committed to giving back to society and making a positive impact on the world. They are determined to live with honor, act with intelligence, and lead with integrity.)
Both the JD application and the essay should be submitted no later than January 1 of the year you intend to enroll in law school. Applicants are considered for the scholarship only after being offered admission.
Admitted students who wish to be considered for the scholarship should also complete the NYU Law financial aid application. To apply for loans to cover living expenses, please complete the applicable FAFSA. (NYU’s school code is 002785.) You may also qualify for the Grad PLUS loan or a private loan to fill any remaining financial gap. You can qualify for additional funding from an outside source as well, but be aware that there may be restrictions or tax implications. Contact theOffice of Student Financial Services with any questions.
Finalists will be notified approximately one month prior to the interviews.
Welcome! We are pleased you are interested in graduate study at NYU.
Applying to the Graduate Division involves the completion of an online application form and the submission of required materials via the Law School Admission Council (LSAC) by a specific deadline. Applicants to all programs (LLM, E-LLM, JSD, or APC) must register for an LSAC account and use the LLM Credential Assembly Service.
Some of the required materials will be submitted as electronic attachments to the online application, while others will be mailed to LSAC. Certain materials are required from all applicants, while others are required from only some applicants. Therefore, it is important that all applicants review the Admission 2018 Application Instructions carefully to ensure that they comply with all application procedures and submit all required materials in a timely manner.
We suggest applicants print a copy of their online application for their records, and keep a file of all documents submitted with the application. We cannot return or provide copies of any part of an application, transcripts, translations, score reports, recommendation letters, or supporting materials.
